Teaching Russian in Europe: Development of Creativity & Thinking Skills of Learners, Jurmala, Latvia, 14-20 Mar 2010From 14 to 20 March 2010, Marina Bagrova, Natalia Kovilina and Alexander Sokol ran a residential course Teaching Russian in Europe: Development of Creativity & Thinking Skills of Learners. This is the only course for teachers of Russian included in the Comenius / Grundtvig catalogue of the European Commission. The participants found out about the Thinking Approach to language teaching and learning, the types of tasks that develop creativity and thinking skills and also developed their own tasks following the principles of the TA. The participants found the course extremely useful and would like to take part in further courses dealing with TA.
The next session of the course will take place in October 2010. The application deadline is 30 April 2010. More information is available here.
